Description

In this Analog Risography Workshop, we'll create a final artwork exploring the most direct route of this printing medium. You won't need computers or any digital resources, as we'll create compositions using cut-outs and collages, markers and drawing materials. You'll learn about the potential of Risography and its ability to print vibrant colors and create specific textures. At the end, each participant will take away 20 unique A4 prints, plus a booklet of overprints and print exchanges.

No previous knowledge or ideas are required. We'll experiment and create from a curation of materials and tools available to inspire your creative process.

Minimum age for participation: 18 years / Accompanied by an adult (two entries): 16 years

Program Content

Introduction to Risography, as well as machine operation and tricks

Demonstration of textures, tones, contrasts and colors through own showcase

Creation of the final artwork with 2 layers using analog materials such as collages, markers and drawings on paper. We'll have a wide range of stencils and materials with which you can experiment and combine something creative. It's best to take part without a specific idea in mind, as the most interesting results can emerge through spontaneous exploration and experimentation.

Printing of 20 unique 2-color prints in A4 size that will be numbered and signed by you

Observation of results and exchange of prints with other participants

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellation/postponement/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
