The Flash Ceramics Workshop is an introductory workshop to ceramics. The Ceramics Flash Workshop is ideal as a first contact with ceramics. As well as a theoretical introduction to the world of ceramics: from the types of clay, the process of transforming clay into ceramics, the means of coating and decorating, we will learn 2 hand-forming techniques. The format of the pieces is directly linked to the type of techniques we'll be covering and means that at the end* you'll take two pieces with you that are ready to use, i.e. fired and glazed.
No previous knowledge is required.

*All the pieces produced will be fired, glazed and fired again by us (they will have to be picked up afterwards).
Waiting list
Cancellations may occur. If the training is sold out and you would like to receive an alert if there are any withdrawals, send an e-mail to workshop@fica-oc.pt, with the subject line 'ceramic flash waiting list', indicating your name and telephone number. If there is a cancellation for this workshop, we will let you know.
Cancellation of Registration
IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.
If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.

Covid-19
Wearing a mask is still compulsory. In addition, at the entrance (and often inside the workshop) you should disinfect your hands with an alcohol-based solution, which will be available inside the workshop. In the workshop, whenever possible, respect social distancing in order to maintain a safe distance from the other trainees.
In accordance with the legislation in force at the time of this training, it may be necessary to present a valid digital vaccination certificate and/or proof of a laboratory test with a negative COVID-19 test result.
