Flash Ceramics Workshops have 4 variants: Rolos, Bola, Maciço Ocado and Lastra, for each of the 4 manual forming techniques.
This workshop will focus specifically on the ballast technique, which allows you to create curved or straight volumes from two-dimensional planes. You will build a piece using this technique, finish it off with glue and decorate it with engobes.
No previous knowledge is required. The four variants of the Ceramics Flash Workshops can be taken in no particular order.
Flash Workshops are 3-hour sessions where we introduce you to some of the techniques we have in the workshop. The idea is to explain to you how the principles, tools and utensils of each of these crafts work in general, but also our working methodology. In short, with these workshops you can move on to the next step, which would be to make a workshop.

All the pieces produced will be fired and glazed by FICA (they will have to be picked up afterwards)

Covid-19
Due to the current situation, wearing a mask will be compulsory in the workshop. In addition, at the entrance (and often inside the workshop) you should disinfect your hands with an alcohol-based solution, which will be available inside the workshop. In the workshop, respect social distancing in order to maintain a safe distance from the other trainees.
