WORKSHOP IN ENGLISH
Artist Tom Maryniak is currently doing an artistic residency at FICA, which will result in an exhibition of ceramic pieces. Tom works on his illustrations using the linoleum technique and in this residency he has been exploring the technique of incising ceramics using linoleum gouges.
Taking advantage of the artist's presence at the workshop, we will have a workshop in which, by sharing the artist's creative and narrative process, each participant will develop a final artwork and then, using the incision (or carving) technique, they will learn how to engrave the final artwork onto leather clay (14x14cm tile). Decoration through the application of colored engobes will also be explored.
Waiting list
Cancellations may occur. If the training is sold out and you would like to receive an alert if there are any withdrawals, send an e-mail to workshop@fica-oc.pt, with the subject line 'waiting list-ceramic incision', indicating your name and telephone number. If there is a cancellation for this workshop, we will let you know.
Cancellation of Registration
IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.
If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.

Covid-19
Wearing a mask is still compulsory. In addition, at the entrance (and often inside the workshop) you should disinfect your hands with an alcohol-based solution, which will be available inside the workshop. In the workshop, whenever possible, respect social distancing in order to maintain a safe distance from the other trainees.
