In the Ceramics Kit Workshop you will learn two of the main forming techniques and take the kit with you to continue practicing. The Ceramics Kit Workshop is ideal as a first contact with ceramics. As well as a theoretical introduction to the world of ceramics and learning two hand-forming techniques, you'll continue to learn independently at home, using the kit and manual included, where we'll teach you two more techniques, among other tips. In this workshop you will produce two pieces, which will then be fired and glazed so that you can use them*.
No previous knowledge is required.
Program content
Theoretical introduction to ceramics: types of pastes, the process of transforming clay into ceramics, firing, types of decorations and glazes
2 Manual forming techniques: Slab and Pinch Pot

*All the pieces produced will be fired, glazed and fired again by FICA (they will have to be picked up from a date to be agreed).
Waiting list
Cancellations may occur. If the training is sold out and you would like to receive an alert if there are any withdrawals, send an e-mail to workshop@fica-oc.pt, with the subject line 'waiting list-workshop ceramic kit', indicating your name and telephone number. If there is a cancellation for this workshop, we will let you know.
Cancellation of Registration
IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.
If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
