Illustration workshop with ceramic decals

In the Decalcada workshop you'll illustrate a plate using the ceramic decal technique. Taking illustrator Yara Kono's visual imagery as a starting point, you'll create your own composition by cutting out and gluing together colorful decals. Based on your concept and choice of colors, the composition created through cut-outs will be transferred to a ceramic plate.

The ceramic decal has a decorative character and is applied to the ceramic object after it has been fired and glazed, involving a third firing at around 800°C*.

No previous knowledge is required.

Program Content

Concept / idea and sketch;
Choosing a color palette and gluing it onto cardboard;
Cut out the decals and transfer them to the ceramic object.

*After the workshop, the dishes will be cooked in the workshop and then collected at a date to be agreed.

All the necessary materials are included.

Waiting list

Cancellations may occur. If there is a cancellation for this workshop, we will let you know.

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.
If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.

Covid-19

Mandatory presentation of a valid digital vaccination certificate.

Wearing a mask is still compulsory. In addition, at the entrance (and often inside the workshop) you should disinfect your hands with an alcohol-based solution, which will be available inside the workshop. In the workshop, whenever possible, respect social distancing in order to maintain a safe distance from the other trainees.
