Linogravure is a variant of woodcut with a softer and easier to engrave material, linoleum. It's a technique in which the blank areas are carved out, then the ink is applied to the relief, which works like a stamp and is then printed on paper using pressure. Mariana Santos is going to share what she considers to be the most intuitive way of engraving and the one that achieves the most complex and detailed results.

In this workshop you will learn the whole process of linocutting, from working the linoleum with gouges to printing monochrome prints that can be reproduced several times.

No previous knowledge is necessary, you can always bring sketches, drawings or ideas that you want to create in your engraving

All the necessary materials are included.
