Natural Dyeing Workshop

Description

In the Natural Dyeing Workshop we will give color to textile fibers using dyes obtained from dye plants. In this workshop, different plants, roots, bark and food-waste will be used to dye the decorative piece that you will take with you.

In addition to using various elements for dyeing, the Natural Dyeing Workshop will experiment with color-modifying agents and also create a showcase.

No previous knowledge necessary. Minimum age for participation: 16 years old / Accompanied by an adult (two entries): 14 years old

Principles and fundamentals of natural dyeing
How to prepare fibers and mordant baths
How to extract colors from plants
Dyeing cotton for a Wall Hanging using tie & dye and Shibori techniques
Color modifying agents
Creating a showcase

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
