Once you've learned the main modeling techniques, there's still a long way to go in the world of ceramics. The Ceramic Decoration and Coatings Workshop will cover decorative techniques in all stages of the paste, from the raw state to the shellac.
Starting with the construction of small tiles made by you, throughout the sessions we will go through the various stages of the ceramic tiling process, ending with the set of pieces that will become your showcase of decorative techniques.
No previous knowledge is required. It is not compulsory to attend Ceramics Workshop I before this workshop.
Program content
Class 1. Techniques for decorating raw clay: in the plastic state - incision, shaving, gluing, embossing, marbling, lace and clay, and in the leather state - incision, gluing, embossing, perforation
Class 2. Techniques for decorating raw clay with engobes: Scouring, Sgraffito, Inlay/Mishima, Sponge decal, Piping
Class 3. Techniques for decorating shellac with ceramic mines, glazing and techniques for decorating raw glass with water-based paints
Material included
White paste (faience), engobes, paints, ceramic mines and glazing included.

Covid-19
Due to the current situation, wearing a mask will be compulsory in the workshop. In addition, at the entrance (and often inside the workshop) you should disinfect your hands with an alcohol-based solution, which will be available inside the workshop. In the workshop, respect social distancing in order to maintain a safe distance from the other trainees.
