If you really want to get your hands dirty, then ceramics is literally for you. In Level I of the Ceramics Workshop, you don't need any previous knowledge. Once a week you come to FICA to learn and develop your own ceramic pieces. In this workshop you'll learn about types of paste, hand-building techniques and decorating with engobes.
No previous knowledge is required.
Program content
Class 1. Introduction to Ceramics / Types of Pastes and characteristics / Manual construction techniques I: Bola
Lesson 2. Manual construction techniques II: Lastra
Class 3. Finishes, textures and introduction to techniques for decorating raw clay with engobes
Your pieces will be glazed by us after the first firing and should be collected later
From September onwards you can continue learning by coming to the Ceramics Workshop Level II.

White paste (faience), engobes and glaze included.

Covid-19
Due to the current situation, wearing a mask will be compulsory in the workshop. In addition, at the entrance (and often inside the workshop) you should disinfect your hands with an alcohol-based solution, which will be available inside the workshop. In the workshop, respect social distancing in order to maintain a safe distance from the other trainees.
