Potter's wheel workshop

The potter's wheel is one of the ancient techniques of ceramics and makes it possible to create concentric and symmetrical shapes using a rotating base. In this introductory workshop on the potter's wheel, each participant will have their own electric wheel to learn how to center and shape different forms on the wheel.
Program Content
Introduction to ceramics, types of pastes, firing process
Kneading and preparing the paste for forming on the wheel
Learning to center and shape different shapes on the wheel
Finishes and textures
Included are the firing and glazing of 2 hand-scale pieces that will have to be picked up later - extra pieces can be fired and glazed from €1/unit (the price varies according to the size of the piece)

Cancellations may occur. If there is a cancellation for this workshop, we will let you know.
Cancellation of Registration
IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.
If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.

Covid-19
Wearing a mask is still compulsory. In addition, at the entrance (and often inside the workshop) you should disinfect your hands with an alcohol-based solution, which will be available inside the workshop. In the workshop, whenever possible, respect social distancing in order to maintain a safe distance from the other trainees.
In accordance with the legislation in force at the time of this training, it may be necessary to present a valid digital vaccination certificate and/or proof of a laboratory test with a negative COVID-19 test result.
