In this intensive version of the Screen Printing Workshop, you will learn and print your own final artwork on paper. You'll learn the screen printing process, from preparing the matrix (indirect printing method) to recovering the frame. Throughout the day you'll use screen printing frames with different sizes and threads (55F/72F) and understand the type of application that corresponds to each one. We'll explain the types of paper to print on, but also the appropriate inks. In the workshop we use water-based paper inks suitable for screen printing.

No previous knowledge is required.

Screen Printing Workshop Program

The workshop is practical, you'll learn the whole printing process and print your final artwork*

- Introduction to screen printing, from preparing the photolithograph / Emulsifying, exposing and recovering the screen
- Printing a final artwork in 1 color | Overlay exercise with the same layer - smudge

Materials*

All the materials you need for the workshop are included, except for the photolitho printing of your final artwork (we have a top quality photolitho printing service. You get a discount on this service at the workshops). After registration, instructions on how to prepare the final artwork file will be sent by e-mail, which must be sent in advance.
On average, you can make 20 prints with one color. Inks and paper are included, but in basic mode, i.e. if you want a more specific ink or a paper with more weight, you can buy them here at special prices.

Deconfinement plan (Covid-19)

Due to the current situation, wearing a mask will be compulsory in the workshop. In addition, at the entrance (and often inside the workshop) you should disinfect your hands with an alcohol-based solution, which will be available inside the workshop. In the workshop, respect social distancing in order to maintain a safe distance from other trainees of between 1.5 and 2 meters. Therefore, the seats to be occupied will be 1.5 - 2 meters apart.
