Description

In the Screen Printing - Paper Workshop, you'll learn how to print your own final artwork on paper. You'll learn the process of screen printing, from preparing the matrix (stencil method and exposing the frame) to recovering the frame. Throughout the sessions you'll use screen printing frames with different sizes and threads (72F/90F) and understand the type of application that corresponds to each one. We'll explain the types of paper to print on, as well as the appropriate inks. At FICA we use water-based paper inks suitable for screen printing.

No previous knowledge is required. 

Program Content

Class 1.
Introduction to screen printing, from preparing the photolithograph | Emulsifying, exposing and recovering the screen | Alternative printing methods: stencil
Lesson 2.
1-color final art print | Overlay exercise with the same layer - stain | Numbered and signed edition of 10 copies
Class 3.
Printing of a final artwork in 2 colors | Exercise in registration and greater detail | Numbered and signed edition of 15 copies

Material included

The screen printing workshop includes all the materials needed for the training.

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
