In the Tile Illustration Workshop you will create a small illustrated panel using the majolica technique. This technique emerged in the 16th century and made it possible to apply painting techniques to tiles by brushing paint directly onto the tile.
Using a theme linked to nature and organic motifs as inspiration, each person will explore a concept and transfer it to the panel, which can have 4 or 6 tiles. We will cover different painting and stamping techniques.
Program Content
Creating an artistic concept for a panel illustration
Sketches on tracing paper
Drawing transposition using perforated tracing paper and 'charcoal doll' - traditional technique
Brush painting with lead-free high-fire paints

Cancellation of Registration
IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.
If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.

Covid-19
Mandatory presentation of a valid digital vaccination certificate.
Wearing a mask is still compulsory. In addition, at the entrance (and often inside the workshop) you should disinfect your hands with an alcohol-based solution, which will be available inside the workshop. In the workshop, whenever possible, respect social distancing in order to maintain a safe distance from the other trainees.
