Description

In the Tile Painting Workshop, you will learn how to create four individual tiles using the majolica technique. This technique, which emerged in the 16th century, allows you to apply paint with a brush directly onto the ceramic surface with raw glaze.

The workshop consists of two specific exercises in the majolica technique: stamping and image transfer. You will develop and apply these techniques to four different tiles. During the workshop, you will explore these approaches, ensuring a practical and technical understanding of tile painting.

No previous knowledge is required.

Program Content

Creating an artistic concept for a panel illustration
Sketches on tracing paper
Drawing transposition using perforated tracing paper and 'charcoal doll' - traditional technique
Brush painting with lead-free high-fire paints

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
