Weaving transforms textile fibers into fabrics. From preparation to actual weaving, in this weaving workshop you'll learn in detail all the steps needed to weave your own fabrics. There will be several looms dedicated to the 3 basic structures: taffeta, twill and satin, but first you have to warp the warp and assemble it.
You don't need any previous knowledge of the subject.
Program content
- How looms work and the differences between them
- Weave the web and assemble
- Learning debossing (graphic representation of weaving)
- Learn the 3 basic structures of weaving: taffeta, twill and satin
- Contact with different natural raw materials - animal and vegetable. And experimenting with different textures, colors and thicknesses.
- Execution of several showcases and a small personal project
- Finishing with some creative finishing techniques
Material
The materials are included but you can bring small elements that you want to add and/or share (elements from nature, wool, yarn or beads).
Waiting list
Cancellations may occur. If there is a cancellation for this workshop, we will let you know.
Cancellation of Registration
IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.
If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
