Saturday from 2pm - 6pm

Trainer - Mariana Duarte Santos

Woodcut printing is the oldest printing technique in the world and has been used throughout the ages to reproduce text, game cards, advertising and as an artistic work. It's a technique in which blank areas are carved out, then ink is applied to the relief, which acts like a stamp and is then printed on paper using pressure. In this workshop you will learn the whole woodcut process, from working the wood with gouges to printing monochrome prints that can be reproduced several times.

No previous knowledge is necessary, you can always bring sketches, drawings or ideas that you want to create in your engraving
