If every time you watch a video of Japanese fittings, with exploded perspectives in motion, you can't take your eyes off it, this workshop is for you.
Since most Japanese fittings are made by hand, this workshop is particularly focused on technique, but more than that, on the importance of understanding the fitting process that strengthens the union between the pieces.
You don't need any previous knowledge of the subject.
How does it work?
Once a week you come to Fica Oficina Criativa to get to work. You can learn basic techniques if you don't already know them, or develop something more complex if you already have some experience.
Content and Methodology
These sessions will be totally practical. In these 3-hour sessions, you'll learn specific fittings and get an idea of how they can be applied to something practical. The idea is that in each of the sessions, which will always be practical, you will learn the basic techniques of working with wood, handling tools, accessories and safety rules.
Materials*
The woods used for this type of technique are solid woods, especially those with greater hardness. We will have wood from various families so that you can develop each of the exercises. If you want to work on something more specific, or even develop a prototype, you can buy wood here.

Refunds or cancellations of paid reservations are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop.
If you don't speak Portuguese don't worry we will give the workshop in english.
