In this natural dyes + screen printing workshop, we'll combine the production of natural dyes with the process of screen printing. In the first part, with Tamara from Distinto Studio, you'll learn how to make natural dyes by reducing dye baths, as well as how to prepare fabric and paper for printing.
In the second part of the workshop you will apply the paints through screen printing, both on paper and fabric. 

No previous knowledge is required.

Program content

Natural paints and mordants - Part 1 / 3 hours
A brief introduction to dyeing plants and natural agents
Reduction of dye baths for paint formulation
Preparing the mordant on fabric and paper

Application of inks through screen printing - 2nd part / 4h
Introduction to screen printing - engraving method + stencil
Color chart - printed on cotton paper
Screen printing* (cotton + silk, 50x50cm)
Color change processes (iron), Reservations and overlays

Cancellations may occur. Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellations/postponements/refunds of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) are only permitted if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop. Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a refund or postponement can only be made if your place is filled.
If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
