Workshops
Every month we have a varied program of workshops in various manual techniques. They are suitable (except where indicated) for those with no previous knowledge and guarantee you a general knowledge of the techniques.
We have short workshops (3 to 4 hours) that serve as an introduction, as well as other full-day training or training divided into more than one session. In workshops consisting of more than one session, it is possible to gain more knowledge and explore more techniques, which allows for greater involvement with the tools, raw materials and techniques.

Main Techniques at FICA Oficina Criativa
Workshops in our main techniques - ceramics, carpentry and screen printing - take place regularly every month and are taught by FICA. The times vary and can change from month to month, but they are regularly held on weekdays, in the morning and after work. On Saturdays they take place in the morning and afternoon. Occasionally, you'll also find programs on holidays and Sundays.
Ceramics Workshops
In addition to the theoretical introduction to the world of ceramics, which includes the types of ceramic pastes, the process of transforming clay into ceramics, coatings, we will also learn manual forming techniques.
Screen Printing Workshops
In our screen printing workshops, we teach the entire printing process, from start to finish. We cover two methods, use of photosensitive emulsion and stencil, focusing on two substrates, paper and fabric, depending on the workshop.
Carpentry workshops
In Carpentry you will learn the art of transforming wood into useful objects, the work methodology inherent in the trade, the techniques according to what you are going to build and the function of various carpentry tools.
Other Techniques
In addition to the Ceramics, Carpentry and Screen Printing Workshops, we also include other crafts and techniques in our program. Scribing, linocut, woodcut, marbling, bookbinding, crochet, punch needle, tapestry, weaving, natural dyeing, basketry with Bunho, among others. These workshops are not regular, they don't happen every month.

All workshops take place (unless otherwise indicated) at our workshop in Lisbon, Rua de Arroios 154B.
Gift Card
If you know someone who likes to get their hands dirty, you can offer them a workshop from our calendar or a gift certificate valid for any training.
Gymnasium of Crafts
The Gym is FICA's open workshop mode. Here you can enjoy a space, with equipment and tools, to continue producing your pieces individually.
Registration and Payment Conditions
Booking
We don't take reservations for future courses. If you want to find out first-hand about the next month's courses, you should subscribe to our Newsletter - For the first few days after the newsletter goes out, you can only register for the workshops using the links in the newsletter. After that, they will be publicly available on this page.
Waiting List
Cancellations may occur. If the training you want is sold out and you want to receive an alert in the event of cancellations, send an e-mail to workshop@fica-oc.pt, with the subject 'waiting list-workshop name', indicating your name, telephone number and the day of the workshop. If there is a cancellation for that specific workshop, we'll let you know.
No. of trainees
The workshops have a minimum/maximum number of participants, as well as a minimum age for participation. All the information is indicated in each workshop (event link).
In accordance with our terms and conditions, training may be canceled if the minimum number of participants is not met. FICA has the right to cancel or postpone any training that does not meet the minimum number of participants (indicated in each of the workshops) and is responsible for rescheduling or refunding the registration fees paid (Fica is not responsible for refunding PayPal fees).

Cancellation of registration
IMPORTANT - Cancellation/postponement/refund of registrations (including registrations with a gift certificate) is only allowed if you notify us at least 7 days before the start of the workshop.
Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a postponement (or putting the amount on a gift voucher) can only be made if your place is filled.
If a trainee fails to attend one or more sessions of a training course, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session. In the event of any withdrawal during a training session, the trainee will not be entitled to a refund of the registration fee paid.
