Tufting Workshop<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

We are preparing to move to a new space in 2026. This workshop will take place in the new studio at Rua Bernardo Lima 10C.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Description<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In the tufting workshop you'll create your own tapestry, from sketch to finish. Tufting is a type of textile manufacturing in which a thread is fed through a hollow needle, which penetrates a specific fabric. This technique uses a tufting gun, which is used to automate the process, especially in the area of carpet production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this tufting workshop you will learn the process of this technique and the steps involved, from transferring the design to finishing.
Each participant will make a piece individually, using a dedicated gun and frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Program Content<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Basic principles of tufting
Presentation of the different types of tufting equipment.
Practical demonstration on how to use the tufting gun
Transferring the design to the fabric
Create your tapestry, approximately 40x30cm
Final finishes: trimming and finishing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellation of Registration<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT - Cancellation\/postponement\/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
