Description<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Flash Pottery Workshop is a practical introduction to the potter's wheel, designed as a first contact with a technique that requires coordination, continuous practice and some physical strength. Throughout the session, the focus is exclusively on creating shapes on the wheel: centering the clay, raising the walls and understanding the gesture and rhythm of the work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The potter's wheel is an ancient ceramic technique that allows you to create concentric and symmetrical shapes from a rotating base. Each participant works on their own wheel, exploring the process without worrying about finishing or later stages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No previous knowledge is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recommend that you have your nails clipped to make the modeling process easier. It is also advisable to wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty.
We have aprons available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minimum age for participation: 16 years \/ Accompanied by an adult (two entries): 14 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practical exercise<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In the pottery workshop, the shape of the pieces is directly linked to the type of techniques we'll be covering and means that at the end* you'll take with you two pieces ready to use, i.e. fired and glazed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Introduction to ceramics, types of pastes, firing process
Kneading and preparing the paste for forming on the wheel
Learning to center, open and pull
Storage, clay recycling and cleaning<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*The firing and glazing of 2 hand-scale pieces are included, which will have to be picked up later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have a Ceramics Kit available, made up of all the material you need to start learning the various hand-forming techniques for ceramics. The kit is suitable for anyone who wants to continue learning, or who has never done a ceramics workshop before. It also includes a manual in which we explain the hand-forming techniques, as well as the preparation of the paste (and its packaging), the drying and shrinking process, among other details.
