Weaving Workshop<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are preparing to move to a new space in 2026. This workshop will take place in the new studio at Rua Bernardo Lima 10C.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Description<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In the creative and experimental weaving workshop, everyone will explore the simplest handweaving techniques to create their own piece. In this workshop you will learn how looms work and how to work with basic hand weaving techniques, as well as having contact with natural raw materials<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You don't need any previous knowledge of the subject. It's aimed at anyone aged 6 and over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Program content<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Loom operation: basic technique and contact with simple hand-weaving structures
Contact with different natural raw materials - animal and vegetable. And experimenting with different textures, colors and thicknesses.
Realization of a personal project
Finishing projects with some creative finishing techniques<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Material<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The materials for the weaving workshop are included, but you can bring small elements that you would like to add and\/or share (elements from nature, wool, thread or beads).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellations may occur. Cancellation of Registration<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT - Cancellation\/postponement\/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.

The workshop is held in Portuguese. If you don't speak Portuguese, we will try to translate in English. But understand that Portuguese will be the main language.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
