Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Intensive Pottery Workshop concentrates the creation and finishing process into a single day, divided into two sessions. In the morning, the work is entirely dedicated to creating pieces on the potter's wheel, with a focus on centering the clay and constructing shapes. In the afternoon session, the work moves on to basic finishing, with special attention to freight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This intensive format is suitable for those looking for a complete and concentrated experience, following the main stages of work on the wheel in a short space of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No previous knowledge is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recommend that you have your nails clipped to make the modeling process easier. It is also advisable to wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty.
We have aprons available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minimum age for participation: 16 years \/ Accompanied by an adult (two entries): 14 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practical exercise<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In pottery workshops, the shape of the pieces is directly linked to the type of techniques we'll be covering and means that at the end* you'll take with you two pieces ready to use, i.e. fired and glazed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kneading and preparing the paste for forming on the wheel

*The firing and glazing of 3 hand-scale pieces are included, which will have to be picked up later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellations may occur. IMPORTANT - Cancellation\/postponement\/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.

Ceramic kit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We have a Ceramics Kit available, made up of all the material you need to start learning the various hand-forming techniques for ceramics. The kit is suitable for anyone who wants to continue learning, or who has never done a ceramics workshop before. It also includes a manual in which we explain the hand-forming techniques, as well as the preparation of the paste (and its packaging), the drying and shrinking process, among other details. The workshop is held in Portuguese. If you don't speak Portuguese, we will try to translate in English.
