Bunho Technique Workshop<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This workshop will take place in the new workshop at Rua Bernardo Lima 10C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Description<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Bunho is a natural fiber that grows in marshy areas. This plant is traditionally used in basketry due to its strength, flexibility and durability. The stems of the bunho are harvested, dried and treated for use in making various handicraft products, such as baskets, mats and cushions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this beginner's workshop on the bunho technique, you'll explore the use of this natural fiber in basketry, get your hands on the bunho and learn one of the variations of the technique to make a bunho cushion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manuel Ferreira, one of the few artisans of the bunho technique in Portugal, will be there to share his knowledge, providing a practical and enriching experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this technique we'll be sitting and working on the bun on our laps, so bring comfortable pants that might get dirty.
No previous knowledge is required for the Beginner's Workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Material<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

All the materials needed for the workshop are included. Knife and tools (needle, razors...)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellation of Registration<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT - Cancellation\/postponement\/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
