Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The pottery workshop delves deeper into work on the potter's wheel over three sessions, allowing for more continuous contact with the technique and the ceramic process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first two sessions, the work is dedicated to creating pieces on the wheel: centering the clay, forming different shapes and gaining consistency in the gesture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third session is dedicated to the basic finishes, in particular the fretwork, an essential stage for the stability and final reading of the pieces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each participant has access to an electric wheel, working progressively and accompanied throughout the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recommend that you have your nails clipped to make the modeling process easier. It is also advisable to wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty.
We have aprons available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No previous knowledge is required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minimum age for participation: 16 years \/ Accompanied by an adult (two entries): 14 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practical exercise<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In this pottery workshop, the shape of the pieces is directly linked to the type of techniques we'll be using and means that at the end* you'll take with you four pieces ready to use, i.e. fired and glazed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kneading and preparing the paste for forming on the wheel

Demonstration of the glazing process<\/p>\n\n\n\n

*The firing and glazing of 4 hand-scale pieces are included, which will have to be picked up later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT - Cancellation\/postponement\/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
