Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Neriage Workshop explores the creation of ceramic pieces using clay of different colors, combining mixing techniques to achieve unique patterns and visual effects. Over the course of a day, divided into two sessions, you\u2019ll experiment with different ways to prepare and combine the colored clays and apply them on the potter\u2019s wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the morning, you\u2019ll explore the possibilities of neriage, prepare the clay using different mixing techniques, and create pieces on the wheel. In the afternoon, the session will focus on basic finishing techniques, with special attention to the rims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This workshop is designed for those who have already had their first experience with the potter\u2019s wheel and want to explore new possibilities through color and patterns in clay. We recommend that you have already participated in a pottery workshop, such as the Flash Pottery Workshop; however, advanced experience is not required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recommend that you trim your nails to make the shaping process easier. In addition, it\u2019s a good idea to wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty. We have aprons available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minimum age for participation: 18 years \/ Accompanied by an adult (two entries): 16 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Program Content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You will work with earthenware and colored earthenware (black, blue, green, pink, yellow) that has been prepared in advance, experimenting with different ways to combine and mix them before moving on to the potter\u2019s wheel. Each approach allows you to create distinct patterns, which emerge as the clay is worked and transformed into a piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the morning, you'll create pieces on the potter's wheel, and in the afternoon, you'll work on the handles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the neriage workshop, the pieces will be fired and glazed, and will be ready for pickup once these steps are complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The neriage workshop includes firing and glazing of up to 4 hand-sized pieces, which will need to be retrieved afterward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the materials needed to conduct the workshop are included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellations may occur. Cancellation of registration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT - Cancellation\/postponement\/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.

The workshop is held in Portuguese. If you don't speak Portuguese, we will try to translate in English.
