Description

In this workshop we'll interpret the assembly project devised by Enzo Mari, calculate, measure, saw and build the Sedia 1 chair, which will go home with you at the end.

Enzo Mari was an Italian designer who shaped the way we think about furniture construction.

'He belongs to the small and select group of Italian architects and designers, or rather Italian architect-designers, who contributed to the reconstruction of post-war Italy, but also to making Italian design a benchmark, a standard, a brand, a design, a myth. But he was also part of those who questioned, provoked and lately witnessed the transformation and decline of an idea of design: his.' No previous knowledge is required.

Program Content

Interpreting the assembly project (Autoprogetazzione - Enzo Mari)
Calculate how many profiles you need (adjust dimensions if necessary)
Measuring and marking using specific tools
Handling miter saws, precision arms and sanders
In this edition of Sedia, we won't be using nails, but screws and covers to hide them
You don't need any previous knowledge of the subject, nor do you need to bring any materials.

The material needed to build the chair is included.

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellation/postponement/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
