Description

The Sewn Spiral Basketry Workshop is an introductory class in the construction of a basket with a spiral structure. A technique in which a base material (textile or natural fibers, such as rope and caruma) is sewn into a spiral to create a specific shape.
The foundations are continuous and run from the center to the edge, making it possible to create traditional utilitarian objects or more alternative ones, such as sculptures or decorative objects.
For this construction there are a variety of materials and stitches that we will experiment with during the workshop.
The aim is to create a small piece with a personal design.

No previous knowledge is required.

All the materials needed for the workshop are included.

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellation/postponement/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.

Minimum age for participation: 14 years / Accompanied by an adult (two entries): 12 years
