Summer workshop for children

FICA Oficina Criativa's summer holiday creative activities for children are built on real practices (ceramics, woodworking, screen printing, engraving, textiles) adapted to the ages of the program, but maintaining the essence of the processes.

Throughout each week, there are objects to build, surfaces to print, materials to perceive. From technique to technique, the children work with concrete materials, tools and manual techniques, exploring shape, color and structure.

In this summer program for children, each exercise is designed to develop attention, coordination and the capacity for autonomy through doing. But also a place to experiment, test and learn from mistakes.

Plan of the week

In the summer vacation workshops for children, each week is organized into blocks of work throughout the day, combining different techniques and materials. The aim is to expose children to various manual areas while maintaining a balanced rhythm between concentration and experimentation.

Daily Schedule

The daily plan for the children's summer workshop includes two separate activities (morning and afternoon) with breaks for rest and snacks.

9:00 - 9:30 Reception and welcome

9:30 - 12:30 Morning workshop (includes break)

12:30 - 13:30 Lunch

13:30 - 16:30 Afternoon workshop (includes break)

16:30 - 17:00 Tidying up and sharing

17:00 - 17:30 Collecting participants

17:30 - 18:00 Extension +5€ (per day)

Lunch and snacks

The registration fee does not include lunches and snacks. Lunch and snacks are not provided. It is necessary to bring lunch and a snack for the morning and afternoon breaks, including a bottle of water.
You will be accompanied during meals and breaks.

Important Information

This workshop is only for children aged 8 to 12. It is not possible for parents or family members to attend the session. Children will always be supervised by the trainers.

It is necessary to bring comfortable clothes that can get dirty and closed shoes.

After registering, a form will be sent to the e-mail address indicated, which must be answered.

Cancellations may occur. If the workshop is sold out and you want to receive an alert if there are any cancellations, send an e-mail to workshop@fica-oc.pt, with the subject ‘waiting-list-workshop-summer-week-01‘, giving your name and telephone number.

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellation/postponement/refund of registrations is only allowed if you give us at least 14 days' notice of the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 14 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, cancellations/refunds can only be made if the place is filled.
