Description

In this workshop for children, participants will explore the technique of ceramic decals as a form of graphic creation applied to ceramics.

Starting from an initial idea, each participant develops their own composition by selecting, cutting out and arranging images and colored elements. The decals are then transferred to the surface of a ceramic dish that has already been fired and glazed.

This technique allows you to work on composition and visual balance.

Minimum age for participation: 8
Maximum age for participation: 14

Practical exercise

• Each participant decorates one or two ceramic plates by applying decals, building an original composition directly onto the piece.

*After the workshop, the plates are fired for the third time in a ceramic kiln, attaching the decal to the ceramic piece. The pieces can be picked up later, on a date to be announced.

Syllabus:

• Introduction to the ceramic decal technique.
• Concept and sketch development.
• Selecting, cutting out and composing graphic elements.
• Transfer process to the ceramic piece.

Important information:

• Who can attend these sessions?
  The sessions are aimed at children and young people between the ages of 8 and 14. No previous ceramics experience is necessary.
• Can I accompany my child during the session?
  This workshop is for children only. It is not possible for parents or family members to attend the session. Children will always be supervised by the trainer.
• Can the pieces made be taken home?
  Yes. If the pieces made during the workshop need to be dried and baked, they must be picked up at the workshop at a later date, to be announced.
• Do I need to bring any materials?
  No. All the material needed for the workshop is included.
  We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that can get dirty.

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellation/postponement/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
