Description

In the Cyanotype Workshop we will explore one of the first photographic printing techniques, invented in the 19th century. With it, you can create blue images by combining natural (leaves, flowers), digital (negative photographs) and analog (charcoal and oil pastel drawings) elements using UV light.

During the workshop, each participant will create pieces on paper, experimenting with different approaches.

No previous knowledge necessary.

Program content

• Introduction to cyanotype and its history
• Chemistry demonstration and photosensitive reaction
• Preparing paper with emulsion
• Exploration of natural and digital elements
• Exposure to UV and sunlight (if it's a sunny day)
• Image development
• Creation of 3 to 4 pieces in cyanotype with variations
• Observation of results

Material

The cyanotype workshop includes all the materials needed for the training.

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellation/postponement/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
