Description

During the Smyrna workshop, each participant will be able to work on a jute canvas with their own needle and materials. They will learn how to perform the basic Smyrna stitch technique, which they can later use in different tapestry projects.
The result of the esmirna workshop will be a small piece that can be made during the workshop according to a previous drawing, intuitively or by combining both.

You don't need any previous knowledge of the subject.

Program content

• Project preparation
• Execution of the project with different materials and yarn sizes in order to create different visual effects
• Finalizing the screen

The material needed for the training is available.

• Smyrna needle
• Smyrna canvas 
• Wool and other materials

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellation/postponement/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.

Minimum age for participation: 16 years / Accompanied by an adult (two entries): 14 years

The workshop is held in Portuguese. If you don't speak Portuguese, we will try to translate in English. But understand that Portuguese will be the main language.
