Description

In this workshop for children, participants explore clay modeling as a form of personal expression. Each participant conceives and draws an original figure, which then takes shape using manual construction techniques.

Throughout the workshop, they explore different types of clay in its plastic phase and apply fundamental techniques such as pinch pot, gluing and gluing.

Observation of the drawing itself serves as a guide for transforming an idea into volume, working on proportion and detail.

Minimum age for participation: 9
Maximum age for participation: 14

Practical exercise

• Previous drawing of the animal or imaginary figure.
• Modeling according to the drawing, using pinch pot, hollowing and collage techniques.
• Application of textures and reliefs. 

*The pieces produced will be fired, glazed and fired again by us (they will have to be picked up after 3 to 4 weeks).

This workshop promotes:

• Creative autonomy.
• Development of fine motor skills.
• Observation and interpretation skills.

Important information:

• Who can attend these sessions?
  The sessions are aimed at children and young people aged between 9 and 14. No previous ceramics experience is necessary.
• Can I accompany my child during the session?
  This workshop is for children only. It is not possible for parents or family members to attend the session. Children will always be supervised by the trainer.
• Can the pieces made be taken home?
  Yes. If the pieces made during the workshop need to be dried and baked, they must be picked up at the workshop at a later date, to be announced.
• Do I need to bring any materials?
  No. All the material needed for the workshop is included.
  We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that can get dirty.

Cancellations may occur. Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellation/postponement/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
