Description

In this workshop for children, participants will explore tile painting, applying high-fire paints to raw glass to create one or two tiles inspired by animals, forests and elements of nature.

Each participant develops their own composition, experimenting with drawing, color and composition in a creative and fun way.

Minimum age for participation: 8
Maximum age for participation: 14

Practical exercise

• Each participant paints one or two tiles, applying the techniques presented and freely exploring design, color and composition. 

*The pieces produced will be fired, glazed and fired again by us (they will have to be picked up after 3 to 4 weeks).

Syllabus:

• Theoretical introduction to tile painting.
• Developing ideas and sketches on tracing paper.
• Traditional transposition techniques for tiles, estresido (shredded greaseproof paper e charcoal doll).
• Brush painting using high-fire paints. 
• Exploration of color, composition and detail in one or two tiles.

Important information:

• Who can attend these sessions?
  The sessions are aimed at children and young people between the ages of 8 and 14. No previous ceramics experience is necessary.
• Can I accompany my child during the session?
  This workshop is for children only. It is not possible for parents or family members to attend the session. Children will always be supervised by the trainer.
• Can the pieces made be taken home?
  Yes. If the pieces made during the workshop need to be dried and baked, they must be picked up at the workshop at a later date, to be announced.
• Do I need to bring any materials?
  No. All the material needed for the workshop is included.
  We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that can get dirty.

Cancellations may occur. Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT - Cancellation/postponement/refund of registrations (including gift voucher registrations) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice before the start of the workshop. If you cancel less than 7 days before the start of the workshop, we will do our best to fill your place, however, you can only postpone the workshop (or put the amount in a gift voucher) if your place is filled.

If a trainee fails to attend one or more training sessions, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session.
