Description

The children’s workshops at FICA Oficina Criativa are based on real-world practices, such as ceramics, woodworking, screen printing, printmaking, and textiles, adapted to different age groups while preserving the essence of each process.

Throughout the workshops, the children work with hands-on materials, tools, and manual techniques. They build objects, experiment with printing techniques, and explore color, shape, and structure, developing skills through hands-on practice

Each activity is designed to stimulate attention, coordination, and independence. It is also a space to experiment, try out solutions, make mistakes, and discover what you can do with your own hands.

Plan of the week

In these workshops for children, the week is organized into blocks of activities throughout the day, combining different techniques and materials. The goal is to expose children to various creative arts, maintaining a balance between concentration and experimentation.

The program is subject to change.

Daily Schedule

The daily schedule for the children's workshops includes two separate activities (morning and afternoon) with breaks for rest and snacks.

9:00 - 9:30 Reception and welcome
9:30 - 12:30 Morning workshop (includes break)
12:30 - 13:30 Lunch
13:30 - 16:30 Afternoon workshop (includes break)
16:30 - 17:00 Collecting participants

Lunches and Snacks

The registration fee does not include lunches and snacks. Lunch and snacks are not provided. It is necessary to bring lunch and a snack for the morning and afternoon breaks, including a bottle of water.
You will be accompanied during meals and breaks.

Important Information

This workshop is intended only for children and teens ages 9 to 12. Registrations from participants outside this age range will not be accepted.

Parents or family members are not permitted to be present during the session. Children will always be supervised by the instructors.

It is necessary to bring comfortable clothes that can get dirty and closed shoes.

FICA reserves the right to cancel any week that does not meet the minimum number of participants. In such cases, cancellation will be announced at least 5 days prior to the start date, and the amount paid will be refunded in full.

Waiting List

Cancellations may occur. If the workshop is sold out and you want to receive an alert if there are any cancellations, send an e-mail to workshop@fica-oc.pt, with the subject ‘waiting-list-creative-workshop-october‘, giving your name and telephone number.

Cancellation of Registration

IMPORTANT – Cancellation, rescheduling, or refunds for registrations are only permitted if you notify us at least 7 days before the workshop begins. For any cancellation made less than 7 days in advance, we will do our best to fill your spot; however, the cancellation or postponement can only be processed if the spot is filled.
