Our workshops for children and young people aged 9 to 14 offer creative and practical experiences in ceramics, screen printing and woodworking. Each area is designed to develop autonomy, imagination and manual skills.

FROM PAPER TO CLAY
Clay Creatures Workshop
MARCH 21 - 10h30-12h30
Conceive and draw an original figure, which then takes shape using manual construction techniques.
We'll explore clay modeling as a form of personal expression, transforming a drawing into a creature.
RISING THE CLAY
sgraffito Workshop
APRIL 18 - 10h30-12h30
Sgraffito consists of drawing and scratching the surface of a piece of clay.
While the clay is in the leather stage, the previously applied engobe layer is partially removed, revealing the color of the clay. The technique creates contrasts, intensities and textural effects.
MAJOLICA? WE PROMISE TO EXPLAIN
Tile Painting Workshop
MAY 9 - 3pm-5pm
Majolica is a strange name, but the principle is simple. Painting with high-fire paints on raw glaze.
Inspired by animals, forests and elements of nature, we will develop our own compositions and experiment with drawing, color and composition in a free and fun way.
NEXT FAVORITE DISHES
Ceramic Decals Workshop
JUNE 6 - 3pm-5pm
Create plates with your own graphic compositions using ceramic decals. Each participant creates, cuts out and arranges colorful shapes on plates.
After the 3rd cooking, the dishes are ready to use. And we're sure they'll become a household favorite.

Summer workshops for children
The last summer workshops we held for children were many years ago. We were still at the LX Factory.
Since then, there have been many requests to return. The answer, depending on the moment, was almost always the same: “maybe this year,” at the beginning of the year, and “maybe next year,” when summer was just around the corner.
There's no maybe this year. It's going to happen. In July and August. We're preparing the program and we'll have more information soon.

Frequently asked questions about FICA Oficina Criativa's workshops for children.
Who can attend these sessions?
The sessions are aimed at children and young people between the ages of 9 and 14. No previous experience is necessary, except where indicated in the workshop.
Can I accompany my child during the session?
This workshop is for children only. It is not possible for parents or family members to attend the session. Children will always be supervised by the trainer.
Can the pieces made be taken home?
Yes. If the pieces made during the workshop need to be dried and baked, they must be picked up at the workshop at a later date, to be announced.
Do I need to bring any materials?
No. All the material needed for the workshop is included.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that can get dirty.
Is it possible to cancel or postpone a registration?
Yes, cancellation or postponement is possible, but subject to cancellation conditions defined in the workshop terms and conditions. Cancellation/delay/refund of registrations (including registrations with a gift certificate) is only allowed if you give us at least 7 days' notice of the start of the workshop.
Any cancellation with less than 7 days' notice, we will do our best to fill your place, however, a postponement can only be made if your place is filled.

I missed the workshop or a session, can I reschedule?
If you fail to attend a workshop or one or more sessions of a training course, FICA is not responsible for replacing or compensating for that session. In the event of any withdrawal during a training session, the trainee will not be entitled to a refund of the registration fee paid.
